UWE Bristol has 12 different departments spread across three campuses in and around Bristol. UWE Bristol has also heavily invested in the latest facilities and resources to give students access to everything they need to succeed – with £200m set to be spent on new state-of-the-art learning spaces and accommodation between now and 2020.
UWE Bristol’s results in the REF 2021 demonstrate particular strengths in Architecture and Built Environment & Planning, with 88 per cent of research rated world-leading and internationally excellent. Following closely behind were Allied Health Professions (87 per cent), Communication, Cultural and Media Studies (82 per cent), Engineering (81 per cent) and Law (75 per cent).
Undergraduate courses at UWE Bristol begin from £15,250 per year, apart from Architecture which is £15,750, whilst postgraduate programmes begin at £15,000, rising to £17,000 depending on course selection.
UWE Bristol also performed strongly in the Guardian University Guide’s subject level rankings, with 10 subject areas among the top 10 nationally.
UWE Bristol offers an airport pickup service for new students in both January and September, and orientation events during the first weeks of term. Students can also take free English language courses provided by the Centre for English Language and Academic Skills courses throughout the year.

Over 3,000 students live in our campus-based accommodation, and many rooms are en-suite. UWE Bristol guarantees university-approved accommodation for all full-time students in their first year of study who submit an accommodation application by the June deadline. There are around 4,500 rooms available in total and all UWE Bristol-owned accommodation includes overnight security, wifi, contents insurance and launderette facilities.

Bristol is ideally located just 75 minutes by train to London and 15 minutes to Bath. The city has an international airport which provides routes to most major European destinations.
